Donned in Arabian attire, I was ready to have a spectacular evening.
This time I’d be having a dinner in the sky, hoisted 50 meters in the air with a crane.
When I arrived, I was served a refreshing beverage and required to sign a waiver. After the safety checks and briefing, I took pictures then made my way to the table to get strapped in a bucket seat with safety harnesses. Guests were told they had to use the restroom before dinner.
With foot thumping music, we ascended over Dubai’s International Marine Club. My mouth watered in anticipation for the three course meal that would be served. I was ecstatic! There weren’t any walls or windows, but culinary delights were served from a space inside a table. I was surrounded by chefs and delectable foods, accompanied by unparalleledviews of the city’s glittering skyline. As I ate, I ensured that my utensils didn’t fall because there wouldn’t be any way to retrieve them.
The table rotated 360 degrees to give different angles of epic panoramic views, and I posed in my turban while the chef clicked away. Though apprehensive at first, I reclined my seat and absorbed the ambience and lights.
It remains one of my most memorable and unique dining experiences.
Shan di explora. Love your spirit of enjoying the experience then engaging the readers’ senses. The posters were epic “Mom doesn’t know” 😆. Keep traveling and sharing. Blessings
