In A Day
Part I
The police escorted me to a tiny room and asked me to hand over my phone.
There was a small window in the room, adjacent to my back when I sat down. The officer to file the report came in on crutches and introduced himself. After revealing I was traveling to Indonesia the same day, he told me about his poop story when he was there. I had gone to report my stolen bike, but I was impressed he was comfortable to disclose such information. I listened attentively as he spilled the details. Some pipes in Indonesia cannot handle toilet paper but the place where I stayed, allowed the flushing of toilet paper. Where I stayed in Cebu, whether we did number one or two, any tissue we used had to be rolled up and put in a bin next to the toilet.
Turns out I was taken to that interview room because they thought I wanted to make a serious report. Someone had placed gum on the roof of my car twice and also a can of coffee between the front and rear tires, and I had filed a report, so perhaps they thought I wanted to make an additional report.
Part II
I was now at home. In preparation for the trip, I tried shaving my eyebrows, but accidentally shaved off one too much. In order to make both look proper, I had to shave the other to make them look even.
Part III
On the flight to Indonesia, the person next to me decided to take his shoes off. I didn’t know what to do. I could do one of three things : ask him politely to put on his shoes, ask an attendant to relay the info to him or wear a mask and ignore the smell. I ignored the smell and enjoyed the flight.
After landing in Bali, the pilot did the inflight announcements then said “God bless”. I was pleasantly surprised. Though Bali is multi-religious, consisting of Christian, Muslim and Buddhist minorities, the predominant religion is Hinduism. I was reminded of this every day as there were flower offerings in various places. Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, consists mainly of Muslims.
More Adventures
I ventured to a restaurant in Russia known for its scrumptious pancakes. The menu was in Russian and …
Two days before for my departure from Cebu, a group of people had just checked in and we all introduced….
He slurped his tea. I chuckled while gesturing to him, “Good?” He said something to which I replied “Okay”…

I’m enjoying your stories. Glad to hear you weren’t thrown in the slammer. I accidentally shaved off one of my eyebrows once and it was super embarrassing for like two weeks, haha.
Thanks, Robert. Yeah, had only gone to make a report -let me wipe that sweat off my brow, hahaha. Would be nice to see how much you had shaved off😂.
So much in a day! Next time let me shave your eyebrows.
Hahaha, how considerate Ozzy. Let me think about it 😂.
